Background

Alex Jouravlev started his career conducting research in Deductive Databases and Distributed Object Systems for internationally recognized Laboratory for Compositional Information Systems Development Methods, USSR Academy of Sciences.

After moving to Australia in 1992, Alex switched his attention to the practical side of IT. He successfully introduced new technologies and ideas within IT departments of the country's largest corporations, from introducing formal object modelling to AMP ApEx project in 1993 to introducing component-based development to Qantas IT in 2001.

Alex Jouravlev founded Business Abstraction in 2002 to provide more practical and cost-effective alternative to mainstream consultancies.
