OWL Modelling for Information Architects

Using Web Ontology Language(OWL)  for Information Architecture is getting some traction. The “Resource Description” paradigm it is using is more suitable for iterative projects, new tools and especially for extracting useful bits of information from complex heterogeneous data sources that cannot be easily integrated.

While OWL uses the familiar terms like “Classes” and “Instances”, the similarity is deceiving, as foundation of OWL is fundamentally different. Without understanding those fundamentals effective modeling is unlikely. Fortunately, Business Abstraction has wast experience in helping IT and business professionals to negotiate paradigm shift.

This course is very interactive and practical – the small groups allow for individual attention, and the exercises are based on real work in your industry.
