Introduction to Linked Data and Sparql (2 days)

Linked Data is about not only revolutionise Open Data, but also significantly contribute to many areas, from Master Data Management to Solution Integration to Analytics, in many industries. Business Abstraction is proud to offer this introductory course that opens Linked Data and Semantic Technology to result-oriented IT Professionals.

Audience: the course was designed for Enterprise IT and Information Management staff involved in Innovation, Information & System Integration and Information Management, as well as everyone interested in Semantic Technology.

The course delivers solid understanding of

  • Understanding Linked Data, Semantic Technology & RDF.
  • Knowledge of the relevant technology stacks.
  • Ability to map existing data, problems and requirements to Linked Data.
  • Practical SPARQL Query Language skills.

This course is very practical and includes a lot of exercises. It also accommodates discussions on present challenges and projects, and potential Linked Data solutions.

The participants are expected to bring their own laptops. If you don’t have a laptop, we will provide a laptop sourced from a local technology rental agency at cost.

We will provide recommendation on installation of the software, however there will be an option of running all exercises on the cloud.
