The approach is based on delivering different levels of training to different groups within each Role, ranging from Champion Level to Supported Level. Training Matrix reduces overall cost of training while further improving training outcome and ensuring grater consistency of modelling practice.

In some situations Business Abstraction adds "train-the-trainer" component to the Training Matrix, identifying the group of trainers and providing them with customised training materials.
