Overview

The course provides sufficient capability to use Enterprise Architect with Visual Studio 2005 in team environment. The training will provide basic UML skills reqiured to benefit from the tools.

Audience:

The course is designed for Visual Studio C# and C++ developers who want to benefit from Use Case Driven Design, Component Design, documentation generation and other features enabled by Sparx Enterprise Architect.

Content

The covers all technical issues invoved in integrating Enterprise Architect with Visual Studio 2005. It also provide sufficient UML knowledge wihtin the scope of Designers and Developers responcibilities:

  • Reading and understanding requirements in Use Cases;
  • Defining component & class design in EA/VS;
  • Condicting Use Case Driven Design;
  • Documenting rpocesses and state machines;
  • Applying PIM-to-PSM transformations.

Please note that the course does not provide sufficient knowledge to implement Computation Independent Modelling and high-level solution design, so clients looking at enterprise of large program implementation are encouraged to consider Implementing MDA for .Net Development. On the other hand, Individual IT professionals may also consider budget-oriented Round-Trip Engineering with Enterprise Architect and Visual Studio 2005.

Every training day contains approximately 50% of closely supervised individual work, modelling workshops and presentations. Business Abstraction uses Multiconference Lab setting to enable individual mentored work with EA and to practice UML presentation. Multiconference Lab setting provides superior training results, especially for higher level IT specialists.
