Overview
The course provides comprehinsive training covering implementation of Model - Driven Architecture guidelines with Visual Studio 2005 and Sparx Enterprise Architect . It covers all areas of MDA from Computation-Independent Modelling down to Platform-Specific Modelling. As a result of this course, the participants will be able to lead an implementation of new the advanced Enterprise Solution Development approach delivering superior agility and alignment with business.
Audience:
The course is designed for people who need to combine problem and solution views of Information Technology. The course is recommended to Software Architects and Senior Designers, Senior Technical Analysts, Project Leads and Technical Project Managers.
Content
The workshop and accompanying materials deliver the following capability:
- Understanding of Model - Driven Architecture;
- Understanding of the elements of Computation-Independent Model (CIM);
- Developing CIM for re-use and Business-IT Alignment;
- Maximising Computation-Independent information;
- Understanding of Platform-Independent Model (PIM);
- Transforming CIM into PIM;
- Defiing Business Architecture within CIM-PIM framework;
- Designing Platform-Independent solutions;
- Transforming PIM into Platform-Specific Model (PSM);
- Integration of MDA guidelines with Microsoft development framework ;
- Maintaining modelling repository and transformations.
Every training day contains approximatelly 50% of closely supervised individual work, modelling workshops and presentations. Business Abstraction uses Multiconference Lab setting to enable individual mentored work with EA and to practice UML presentation. Multiconference Lab setting provides superior training results, especially for higher level IT specialists.
