Overview

The course provides advanced skills and confidence in Use Case-driven approach is the Best Practice in Object-Oriented and Component design. It deliverers easy reuse facilitation, consistency across a team or an enterprise, and inherent traceability. It allows developers to satisfy demands for productivity increase and detailed specifications at the same time.

Audience:

The course is recommended to Application Architects, Object Designers, Java and .Net Architects/Designers, Developers and System Analysts. It is applicable to teams using Rational Rose, Telelogic Tao, Holocentric Modeller, Microsoft Visio and other tools, as well as for teams that decided to follow paper & whiteboard UML practice.

Content

After the workshop, the delegates will be able to:

  • Read Requirements presented in Use Cases;
  • Communicate with Business Analysts in UML;
  • Conduct effective Object and Component Design
  • Implement Design traceability to Requirements in UML;
  • Implement and facilitate code and component reuse;
  • Incorporate Use-Case Driven Design into RUP, Mentor or any other formal software development process.

Every training day contains approximatelly 50% of closely supervised individual work, modelling workshops and presentations.
