Overview

The course allows to extend UML Modelling skills and practices to Business Process Modelling and Software Development process specifications.

Audience:

The course is designed for Project Office and QA Officers, Business Analysts, Team Leaders and UML Implementation Leaders and Champions.

Content

The course provides capability to record and document development processes and procedures with UML, correctly modify processes to specific needs, governance and certification requirements. The workshop enables effective implementation of processes and procedures within UML-capable IT with minimal overhead. The course covers:

  • Recording Process Roadmaps and Workflows
  • Recording complex process descriptions
  • Documenting Stakeholders, Objectives, Roles and Responsibilities
  • Generating process documentation for sign-offs and certifications
  • Documenting Agile and RAD processes for manageability and certification
  • Integrating reuse, reviews and cooperation
  • Integrating compliance requirements into process descriptions

Every training day contains approximatelly 50% of closely supervised individual work, modelling workshops and presentations. The material will be eaqually applicable to teams using Enterprise Architect, Rational Rose, Telelogic Tao, Holocentric Modeller, Microsoft Visio and other tools, as well as for teams that decided to follow paper & whiteboard UML practice.
